Why You Should Make A Separate Email Account | International Convention Tips

I highly recommend making a convention-specific email address to include on your contact cards. This will help you to keep all of the loving emails you receive from those you met at the special convention or international convention in one organized place. You will not miss their correspondence that otherwise could get buried in your everyday email account or even sent to the junk box on accident!

Also, time is always a factor. If you keep these emails in a specific email account then when you have free time you can check it and respond to your new friends, without feeling overwhelmed or unexpectedly using time you had “bought out” for something else to correspond instead.

Different countries also many use of different apps such as WhatsApp, Line, Viber and so on. On different occasions I have shared that contact information in addition to email. My personal recommendation is to leave just an email on your contact card. If you correspond with someone and want to keep in better touch with them, then share your messaging apps.

​Of course, include whatever information you feel comfortable with and suits your time and lifestyle needs. These are just suggestions and ideas!
